We spend nearly a third of our lives in bed. Getting the best night’s sleep possible should be a priority. Sleep affects our energy level, attention span, performance at work, recreation and every quality of our lives.

For years I woke up in the middle of the night tossing and turning—never getting a deep and satisfying sleep. Quite by accident I found several things that may have been affecting my sleep. My bedding was the culprit. After experimenting and systematically removing each element of bedding from my bedroom, I tracked my problem down to feather pillows and my favorite feathered down comforter. The pillow and heavy weight down comforter were not helping my allergies. And I was growing concerned about the effect of: dust mites, mold, fungus and chemicals in my bedding. (more…)
